For prospective students,
We constantly seek highly motivated and talented students to join our team. If you’re interested, please check our available positions in the following subject areas:
- Bandits, Statistics: This research area is mainly theoretical and investigates various topics in bandits, RL theory, Markov chains, statistics, etc. Applicants with strong math backgrounds or a willingness to learn are preferred. Please refer to our recent works:
- Efficient NLP: We’re working to develop efficient NLP methods and models to enhance their feasibility in the real world. This includes compressing large language models (LLMs) to alleviate their massive computation and memory requirements, efficient LLM inference techniques, and more. We’re seeking applicants with excellent communication skills and experience in coding. Please refer to our recent works: [EACL'23] [ACL'23] [ICML'24] [NeurIPS’24].
- Reasoning and Inference Time Scaling: Recent advances in large language models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT and DeepSeek, have demonstrated remarkable success. Reasoning has emerged as a critical component for further improving the capabilities of LLMs. This raises an important question: how can we extract better reasoning from existing LLMs? Should we design new inference policies, or should we consider developing new model architectures?
- Weather Forecasting AI: We believe AI can assist in fighting climate change, and weather forecasting AI is a great place to start. We’re seeking applicants with excellent communication skills and experience in coding. Please refer to our recent works: [Arxiv'22] [NeurIPSW'22].
